Born Alain Kalanj to a Croatian family, the young star attended her first audition for a Fox Family Channel pilot when she was just 13. She was cast in a main role, but before Alaina could seize the opportunity, she was recruited by a model scout who sent her to model high fashion runways in Europe and Japan. Alaina eventually left modeling behind and headed to the U.S. for college. She took on roles in indie films when she was still in school, but eventually, she brought her brilliant, full-faced smile and her pendulous, all-real rack to Los Angeles, where she appeared in grade-A skintertainment such as Serving Sara (2002), Dawson’s Creek (2002), Tru Calling (2003), The O.C. (2003), Painkiller Jane (2007), and Smallville (2007). A sweet cross between Ashley Judd and Pippi Longstocking, the arresting Alaina shows all the promise of a long and illustrious career. Just look at those kissable, cushiony lips, the love-swollen eyes puffed with easy passion, that cute button nose, and those breasts, bare and totally there, swaying through a distant voyeuristic shot in Pendulum (2001).
